About

My name is Rebecca Spokes and I am paediatric occupational therapist based in Albury-Wodonga, NSW, Australia where I am the owner of a private occupational therapy service, Mobile Kids O.T. I am also a wife, mother to two gorgeous girls, daughter and lover of craft, reading, music and dancing.

My career as an Occupational Therapist (OT) started back in 2003 after graduating with Honours from Charles Sturt University. My early years as a professional were spent learning the ropes of OT in acute hospital settings. However, I always gravitated to the paediatric ward and knew that working with kids was my passion. In 2010 I commenced work in private practice which evolved to include working with school age children. I soon found my true passion of supporting children to achieve their full potential at school and enhancing their written expression skills.

In 2013, a move to Albury provided the catalyst for me to branch out and start Mobile Kids O.T. Since then I have worked very closely with local schools to support their students in achieving their full potential. This close partnership with schools and my interest in the area of written expression has lead me to commence a PhD in Education through Charles Sturt University where I am exploring handwriting instruction in the early years.
